FAQ

What types of documents are needed to travel?
When traveling internationally, all U.S. citizens are required to have a valid passport. International travelers under the age of eighteen (18) at the time of travel will also need a notarized letter of permission from their parent(s) and/or guardian(s). Non-U.S. citizens should contact their appropriate consulate or office for specific documentation requirements. If traveling within the United States, travelers will need to provide a valid government issued photo ID. If you do not have a valid passport, we highly recommend that you apply now as refunds cannot be given if you are unable to travel due to lack of documentation. We strongly recommend visiting www.travel.state.gov/travel for the most current travel documentation requirements.

Where should I rent my equipment?
It is recommended that you rent your equipment at home and bring it with you on the trip. This avoids lost time renting equipment on the mountain or in the village and also typically saves you money. Although we have negotiated discounted rental rates at most destinations, it is usually still less expensive to rent equipment prior to departure. Each traveler is responsible for his or her own equipment.
